Safety procedures and main uses of vertical plate lifting clamps

Vertical plate lifting clamps are mainly made of low-alloy high-strength structural steel and hollow structure, which is light to a certain extent and meets the strength requirements. Secondly, the arm and the caliper arm are reasonably distributed under the premise of ensuring lightness. The relationship between the jaws and the support table is designed with appropriate tooth shape, and the contact surface between the tongs and the support table and the steel plate is increased as much as possible, so as to increase the friction and achieve the purpose of not damaging the steel plate. Proper heat treatment of the tongue and the support table teeth greatly increases the service life of the jaws.


Safety procedures for vertical steel plate lifting clamps


1. Vertical steel lifting clamps must be familiar with this safety operation before using lifting clamps.


2. The vertical steel plate lifting clamp needs to check the wear and deformation of the lifting before use, and the result of the inspection is registered on the inspection record. Lifting should be free of cracks, sharp angles, burrs, corrosion, warping and torsion. Whether all of its rotating parts are flexible or not, the fasteners cannot be loosened. If the section of the stressed member is worn, the corrosion reaches 10% of the original size or the jaw opening is increased by 10% compared with the original size, it must be scrapped and must not be used.


3. Horizontal lifting clamps can only be used for horizontal lifting of steel plates, and other uses are strictly prohibited.

The vertical steel plate lifting clamps should be made of different horizontal hanging clamps according to the length and width of the steel plate and the lamination. If lifting a long number of iron plates, use a fixed beam lifting clamp. For lifting short or single steel plates, no fixed lifting clamps can be used. No matter which lifting clamp is used, only the pair can be used, and the thickness of the lifting steel plate cannot exceed the specified thickness of the jaws.
